Seaside surgeons voted Naples’ best
NAPLES, Fla. (September 28, 2021)– Seaside Surgery Center Co-Founders Robert J. Zehr, M.D., and H. Kurtis Biggs, D.O., prevailed in the voting for the Naples Daily News’ annual “Best of the Best” community choice awards. The duo was named as finalists during the summer program. Both surgeons specialize in hip and knee replacements.
In a virtual event that featured The Late, Late Show host James Corden, and the orchestra from the Broadway musical “Tina Turner,” Dr. Zehr was named the winner of the orthopedist category. Along with the recognition, Dr. Zehr was awarded the right to use the Naples’ “Best of the Best Winner” logo for the next 12 months.
In addition to the Zehr Center for Orthopaedics, his private orthopaedic practice founded in 2007, Dr. Zehr serves as the Medical Director for Seaside Surgery Center and sits on the 3-member Board of Managers; the Chief of Surgery at Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida; and Medical Director of The Joint Care Center at Landmark.
Dr. Biggs founded his private orthopaedic practice, the Joint Replacement Institute, in 2008. The JRI has grown to include a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon, an interventional pain management physician, and a podiatrist. Dr. Biggs also sits on Seaside’s 3-member Board of Managers.
