Seaside CEO selected as Arthrex consultant
NAPLES, Fla. (February 22, 2018) – Naples orthopaedic surgeon Robert J. Zehr, M.D. has been selected by Arthrex, Inc. to serve as a consultant to the orthopedic device manufacturer. In addition to helping the company further the evolution of its total knee replacement system, Dr. Zehr will be teaching courses, hosting visiting surgeons, and participating in other educational programs. Dr. Zehr will also serve as the physician liaison between the Advanced Joint Treatment Institute, based at Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida, of which he is medical director, and the Arthrex education department. As such, he will help develop educational materials and programs.
Dr. Zehr is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with over 30 years of experience, who specializes in hip and knee replacements. The former executive director of the Cleveland Clinic Naples, Dr. Zehr remained in Southwest Florida when the Cleveland Clinic departed and established his private practice at Zehr Center for Orthopaedics. Zehr is also the co-founder, CEO, and medical director of Seaside Surgery Center, the only surgery center in Southwest Florida designed and built exclusively for outpatient joint replacement. Dr. Zehr was recently appointed chief of surgery at Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida, in addition to his position as the AJTI medical director.
